Our Story
How We Met
We have our mutual friend Andrea to thank for this entire thing — she'll be at the wedding, so you can personally thank her too. She put us together, and somehow she knew before we did.
Our Story
There was a spark from the start — our first date lasted four hours, which either means it went really well or neither of us knew how to leave. (It went really well.) Nereyda came as a package deal: her and three dogs — Gina, Charlie, and Scully — who took approximately zero time deciding Chi was theirs too. What followed was a lot of KBBQ, a lot of cooking, reality TV, and yapping about nothing in particular. Somehow it all felt like family before we even called it that. Eventually it all came together so easily that it started to feel a little suspicious — like, is this allowed? Are we supposed to be this lucky? Turns out yes. We just didn't notice it happening until we looked up one day and realized neither of us wanted to be anywhere else.
The Practice Run
Before Vegas, we did a whole separate wedding — not for us, but for our families. Think of it as the practice run: a wedding ceremony and tea ceremony to honor both sides; mostly so our parents could have their version of the day they always pictured. It counted for everything except the paperwork — we just skipped the part where the state gets involved. That's what Vegas is for.
The Big Day
Las Vegas, Nevada — with our closest friends by our side. This is where we make it official, celebrate everything we've built together, and party like the new chapter it is. Expect love, happiness, a little chaos, and a lot of celebrating with the people who matter most. And yes, Elvis might make an appearance.
